Cadets of the State Fire Academy of EMERCOM of Russia took part in the Students’ New Year’s Ball for students of Higher educational institutions of the Ministry of the Russian Federation for Civil Defence, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters
On December 16th, 2011 the results of the competitions "The Best Department" and "The Teacher of the Year" were announced. According to the rules of competitions the analysis of the work of the scientific and pedagogical staff and departments of the Academy in the field of education, mithodics, bringing up, science and organization was carried out.
On December 13-14th, 2011 the scientific and practical seminar "The Practical application of programs of human behaviour during emergencies" took place in the State Fire Academy of EMERCOM of Russia. This project was realized together with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. About two hundred representatives of educational institutions of the professional secondary education of the Central federal area including Deputy Directors on security from secondary schools and colleges, teachers of Life Safety Organization, specialists took part in this seminar."
On December 9th, 2011 the winners of the 3th All-Russian festival "Galaxy of Courage" were awarded the prizes of EMERCOM of Russia. In the nomination "They are the first who come to help" the best representatives of professions in the system of EMERCOM of Russia engaged in elimination of emergency situations and fires were awarded the prizes from Sergei Shoigu, the Minister of Russian Federation for Civil Defence, Emergences and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters.

On December 8th, 2011 Serkov Boris Borisovich celebrates his 70-th jubilee! He is head of the Fire Safety in Building Construction department and the chief of Training/Research Complex of Fire Safety in Building Construction as well. Serkov Boris Borisovich is a Grand PhD (Engineering), Professor, Honorary Figure of Russian Higher Education, Full Member of Fire Safety Science Academy, colonel of the interior service.
